These expatriates are among more than 1,000 Vietnamese people who have fled Ukraine’s war zones to Poland, wishing to return to their home in the fatherland.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Poland has worked closely alongside relevant Polish agencies and Vietnamese associations in Poland to provide accommodation and necessary items for the evacuees and to ensure the Warsaw-Hanoi flight will go smoothly.
This is the second repatriation flight Vietnam has conducted to bring home Vietnamese nationals stranded in Ukraine’s war zones.
The first such flight, conducted by Vietnam Airlines, safely landed in Hanoi on March 8 after an 11-hour long trip from Bucharest (Romania), carrying 287 Vietnamese people on board.
Vietnam Airlines has planned to run another flight to repatriate Vietnamese evacuees from Bucharest after March 10.
