Today, news broke out that the Department of Government Efficiency has been disbanded.

Eight months ahead of schedule, DOGE as an agency is no more.


Reuters reported:

U.S. President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate, ending an initiative launched with fanfare as a symbol of Trump’s pledge to slash the government’s size but which critics say delivered few measurable savings.

“That doesn’t exist,” Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told Reuters earlier this month when asked about DOGE’s status.

However, contrary to what the MSM would have you believe, this doesn’t mean that DOGE and the mission behind why it was created in the first place is finished.

Far from it.

While DOGE is now de-centralized, it’s very much still alive.

Basically, DOGE leadership has now split up across multiple offices that are continuing to eliminate billions of dollars in wasteful government contracts.

Over the last 9 days, agencies terminated and descoped 78 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $1.9B and savings of $335M, including an $616k HHS IT services contract for “social media monitoring platform subscription”, an $191k USAGM broadcasting contract for “broadcast operations and maintenance in Ethiopia, Africa”, and a $4.3M IRS IT services contract for “Inflation Reduction Act transformation project management support”.
