Theo các báo cáo, tàu chở dầu Marinera, ban đầu có tên là Bella-1, đã bị Mỹ tịch thu.

Nó giống như một bộ phim kinh dị thời Chiến tranh Lạnh đang dần hé lộ.

Tàu Marinera, trước đây có tên là Bella 1, bị trừng phạt vì vận chuyển dầu của Iran có liên quan đến các nhóm như Hezbollah.

Con tàu đã cố gắng trốn tránh sự truy bắt của Mỹ bằng cách đổi cờ sang Nga và chạy trốn khỏi vùng biển Caribbean về phía bắc nước Nga.

“Vụ bắt giữ, có thể làm gia tăng căng thẳng với Nga, diễn ra sau khi tàu chở dầu Marinera, ban đầu được biết đến với tên Bella-1, đã lọt qua vòng vây hàng hải của Mỹ đối với các tàu chở dầu bị trừng phạt và từ chối nỗ lực lên tàu của Lực lượng Bảo vệ bờ biển Mỹ .

Các quan chức, giấu tên khi phát biểu, cho biết chiến dịch này đang được thực hiện bởi Lực lượng Bảo vệ bờ biển và quân đội Mỹ.

Máy bay trực thăng tiến lại gần tàu chở dầu.
