thầy Gudenuis nói: “Chúng tôi không để ý đến nét chữ viết.”.

Một bà mẹ nói thật to: “Ông không cần, nhưng chúng tôi cần con cái viết chữ đẹp.”. (shallow and narrow-minded)

cần con cái viết chữ đẹp? what for? I'm old schooled but I don't see the need of "viết chữ đẹp".

If you want your kids to be "Tha^`y Do^`" vie^'t chu*? ngoa`i duo*`ng (even that is so OLD) then you "cần con cái viết chữ đẹp".

Otherwise, what the kids in this day and age need are the knowledge (about all aspects) and skills and etc ... NOT "viết chữ đẹp".

One of my friends in college, he is a computer genius. But his handwriting is like chicken-scratch (tie^'ng viet go.i la` chu*~ nhu* cua bo`). He is now a director of Network and Communication at the San Francisco State University. So you tell me, is "viết chữ đẹp" necessary?
