At this stage in its modernization, China lacks the hardware, logistics and experiences to fight the US conventionally. May be in another 20-30 years it may be an even draw but we are still talking about fighting in China's backdoor. Economically, it cannot afford such a war if the CCP wants to maintain power. Once war start with the US, China will have to contend with multiple fronts internally and assuming no other US allies or Chinese enemies will get involved.
