It is not the weapons. it's the leaders; they want to fight for the country or not. I am sure even if U.S gives Congsan free weapons, congsan uses that to fight and run down the innocent VN's people only, not China.
I am sure, the Congsan's leaders are never to fight China because their power and their bank accounts are at risk if they fight China for the mother land. All congsan's leaders have to do is giving up the lands and islands in exchange for power and money, and the rest Congsan, they do not care. What is the mother land? Congsan will refuge to China, Russia, U.S, France with a lot of money; you can name the rest.
Remember that before 1975, Congsan used autosemi guns to shot the F15 and tanks. I think right now Congsan is more well equip weapons than 1975. Don't you think so?
