laughster : too many components and their products are made in China. What you suggest and want is for these products and its components to be manufactured in the US. This can only change when the US Congress change China's favorable and normalized trade status ... basically increase tariffs on Chinese imports. It's because of these low tariffs on Chinese imports, an unforeseen effect that started in the later 1/2 of the Clinton administration, that adversely steered American companies to set up manufacturing in China.
