1) The cancer is an uneducated person acting on fear, prejudice and stereotypes. By their lack of natural cognition or training, any charlatan can easily persuade them into a false sense of self worth by placing all of their short comings on a targeted minority!

2) From a legal point, the federal government doesn't provide any benefits to illegals! But because of laws in the US, the government cannot asked you about your citizenship if you don't give them probable cause! In addition, immigration related laws are usually only enforced along the border states. The interior states don't care ... let alone have the manpower or funding to execute these laws.

3) And yet, the majority of illegals are law abiding and tax payment fabricate of the US melting pot! You, your parent and or forefather would not be here if not for such sympathetic embracing of the poor, the meek and the needy!

4) Drugs and crimes go together. Most drug are infested in white suburbia, but yet most arrest are in minority areas!
