2) Like most advanced economies, the US has moved away from a manufacturing based economy to a consumer/service based economy since the 1960's ...

---> China is trying to change from a Manufacturing base economy to a Consumer/Service base economy since the 1970s post Cultural Revolution

---> Service contribution as a % of GDP for China has moved up from 32% to 50% since the 1990's (source - World Bank)
