Cựu Tổng thống Donald Trump “không hài ḷng” với lời bào chữa của nhóm luật sư tại phiên ṭa luận tội ông vào thứ Ba, theo báo cáo của CNN .


Nhiều nguồn tin quen thuộc với cựu tổng thống nói với CNN rằng Trump đă “la hét ” về màn “ra mắt” của luật sư vào thứ Ba, đặc biệt là có vấn đề với phát biểu mở đầu lan man của luật sư Bruce Castor .

Nhóm của Trump cũng bối rối trước một quyết định vào phút cuối để hoán đổi thứ tự bào chữa của ông . Castor, người phát biểu trước, ban đầu dự kiến ​​sẽ nói sau luật sư David Schoen. Những người thân cận với Trump cho rằng chiến lược mới của họ không mạnh và không đánh giá cao khi Castor ca ngợi phe đối lập trong các lập luận của ḿnh, CNN đưa tin.

Ít nhất một số thượng nghị sĩ Đảng Cộng ḥa cũng cho biết hôm thứ Ba rằng bào chữa của nhóm luật sư là thực sự yếu kém. Thượng nghị sĩ Bill Cassidy của Louisiana, người đă bỏ phiếu hôm thứ Ba để tuyên bố phiên ṭa luận tội là hợp hiến, đă gọi các luật sư của Trump là “không tập trung.”

Tuy nhiên, phiên ṭa có khả năng kết thúc với sự tha bổng cho Trump, v́ để kết tội bắt buộc mọi thượng nghị sĩ đảng Dân chủ và 17 thành viên đảng Cộng ḥa sẽ phải bỏ phiếu “có” để kết tội cựu tổng thống. Đa số thành viên Đảng Cộng ḥa trước đây đă ra hiệu rằng họ không ủng hộ việc luận tội ông.
