San Francisco – Theo Bloomberg, tổng thống Trump vừa bị kiện v́ từ chối gởi tiền trợ cấp coronavirus trị giá 1,200 Mỹ kim cho hơn một triệu người Hoa Kỳ đă kết hôn với người di dân không có Số An sinh Xă hội.


Vụ kiện đă được đệ tŕnh lên ṭa án liên bang ở Chicago vào hôm thứ Sáu (24 tháng 04) bởi một người đàn ông ở Illinois sử dụng bút danh John Doe, đại diện cho những người trong hoàn cảnh tương tự. Ông Doe cho rằng ông bị từ chối tiền hỗ trợ là v́ quyết định từ chối này chỉ dựa vào người mà ông chọn kết hôn.

Theo tờ Bloomberg, đạo luật Cares Act trị giá 2 ngh́n tỷ Mỹ kim được Quốc hội phê duyệt vào tháng trước cung cấp 1,200 Mỹ kim cho những người nộp thuế ở Hoa Kỳ kiếm được dưới 75,000 Mỹ kim/năm, cộng thêm 500 Mỹ kim cho mỗi đứa trẻ. Nhưng để đủ điều kiện, cả hai vợ chồng trong các gia đ́nh khai thuế chung phải có số An sinh Xă hội, trừ khi một trong số họ phục vụ trong quân đội. Điều đó khiến 1.2 triệu người Mỹ không đủ điều kiện.

Ông Doe nói rằng ông đă kết hôn với một người di dân có đóng thuế và khai thuế với Mă số Nhận dạng Cá nhân (ITIN) do Sở Thuế vụ cấp cho.

Vụ kiện đă nêu tên tổng thống Trump, lănh đạo đa số Thượng viện Mitch McConnell và bộ trưởng Bộ Tài chính Steven Mnuchin. Cả ba ủy quyền việc loại bỏ những trường hợp kể trên, và điều đó khiến ông John Doe cảm thấy ḿnh không được đối xử ngang hàng như các công dân Hoa Kỳ khác.

tôi nghỉ người Mỹ họ kiện v́ quyền lợị của họ, hơn 1.2 triệu người Mỹ và chờ ṭa giải quyết.
C̣n họ phạm tội ǵ th́ chưa có bản án, theo bài báo họ là người đi làm đóng thuế ...chưa có kết luận đừng dùng lời lẽ nặng nể với họ.

" The three authorized the exclusion... " You are wrong! These 3 people don't have power to authorized the exclusion. This exclusion belong to the bill that has to be passed by congress, if John Doe wants to file a law suit he should sue congress, not these 3 people.
Anyway, John Doe in English equals to "vô danh" or " người bất kỳ nào đó"...Trừ khi chính cha mẹ đặt tên như vậy và đương sự có personal ID như khai sinh hay SSN...thì lá đơn thưa này vô giá trị.
