LYNCHBURGH, Virginia (NV) – Hai vợ chồng nhà Falwell, nổi tiếng và quyền lực trong thế giới những người Tin Lành Evangelical, đang gặp tai tiếng vì bị một thanh niên 28 tuổi tố cáo có quan hệ tình dục trong nhiều năm với cả hai trong một bài tường thuật của Reuters hôm Thứ Hai, 24 Tháng Tám.

Vì tố cáo trên, ông Jerry Falwell Jr, 58 tuổi, chủ tịch trường đại học Liberty University, một trong những trường lớn nhất của phái Tin Lành Evangelical trên nước Mỹ và toàn thế giới, tuyên bố từ chức vào ngày Thứ Hai, theo nhiều cơ quan truyền thông loan tin.

Đây là tin chấn động cả về mặt chính trị xã hội, vì vị trí của ông Falwell Jr. ảnh hưởng rất lớn đến những người theo giáo hội này.

Theo Reuters, lời tuyên bố ủng hộ ứng cử viên Donald Trump vào năm 2016 của ông có tác động rất mạnh trên các cử tri người Tin Lành Evangelical, giúp thay đổi tình thế giữa lúc ứng cử viên Trump gặp những khó khăn về đoạn ghi âm nói chuyện suồng sã trên Access Hollywood, những tố cáo ngoại tình, và đặc biệt chuyện hai lần ly dị.

Người vợ ông Jerry Falwell Jr, bà Becki Falwell, 53 tuổi, cũng là một khuôn mặt hoạt động chính trị. Bà hiện là thành viên hội đồng cố vấn của nhóm Women For Trump.

Năm ngoái, bà là thành viên của nhóm diễn giả trong đó có người chồng và ông Donald Trump Jr., trưởng nam tổng thống, tại hội nghị giới bảo thủ CPAC, Conservative Political Action Conference.

Những người quen biết trong thế giới đó đều gọi bà là đệ nhất phu nhân của đại học Liberty University.
Người tố cáo câu chuyện bê bối tình dục này là ông Giancarlo Granda, năm nay 28 tuổi.

Họ biết nhau từ hồi 2012, khi anh Granda mới 20 tuổi, làm nhân viên cấp cứu tại một hồ bơi, và mối quan hệ kéo dài đến 2018.

Anh Granda cho Reuters xem những tin nhắn và nhiều bằng chứng khác chứng tỏ anh có quan hệ tình ái với cặp vợ chồng này.

Anh kể những lần diễn ra chuyện xác thịt với bà Becki Falwell, tại khách sạn hay nhà riêng của hai vợ chồng, thì ông Jerry Falwell Jr. nấp ở một căn phòng khác quan sát.

Khi Reuters chuẩn bị loan bản tin, ông Falwell Jr. gởi ra một tuyên bố vào tối Chủ Nhật trên tờ Washington Examiner, trong đó ông tố người vợ ngoại tình với Granda.

Tuy nhiên, trong tuyên bố này, ông Falwell Jr. không đả động đến chuyện tay ba mà ông Granda nói.

Cả hai vợ chồng ông bà Falwell Jr. đều không trả lời những câu hỏi mà Reuters gửi đến.

Trong phỏng vấn với Reuter, theo Granda, chuyện ông Falwell tuyên bố ủng hộ cho ứng cử viên Donald Trump không có gì lạ.

Vì từ Tháng Năm, 2015, tại khách sạn Lowes Miami Beach Hotel, ông Donald Trump và luật sư riêng Michael Cohen đã áp lực ông lên tiếng ủng hộ, theo lời ông Falwell kể với “người tình” của vợ. (MPL) [kn]

những bạn bè Trump, chính Trump và những người liên quan như Epstein & Co, nếu họ bá láp là theo đạo gì đi chăng nữa, Bà-la-môn, Hồi giáo, Đạo Dừa, Cao Đài, Hòa Hảo vv... thì đừng nhìn vào bản chất khốn nạn, mất d** của bọn này mà phán đoán về tôn giáo: vì đạo là đường, phương cách để hướng thượng, để những giá trị nhân bản đích thực được thực thi...chả lẽ gian dâm, xảo trá và những gì xấu xa nhất trên đời là "ĐẠO" sao ??
