WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Ngoại trưởng Mike Pompeo vào thứ 5 gọi John Bolton là “kẻ phản bội,” sau khi cựu Cố vấn An ninh Quốc gia tố cáo những hành vi sai trái của Tổng thống Donald Trump trong cuốn hồi kư sắp được xuất bản, cũng như tuyên bố ông Trump không phù hợp với văn pḥng tổng thống.
Thật đáng buồn, và nguy hiểm khi vai tṛ công cuối cùng của John Bolton là một kẻ phản bội đă phá hoại Mỹ bằng việc vi phạm niềm tin thiêng liêng của ông ta với nhân dân,” Pompeo ghi trong thông báo.

Ngoại trưởng là người mới nhất trong ṿng đồng minh thân cận của Tổng thống lên án cuốn hồi kư của Bolton.

Trong cuốn hồi kư, Bolton kể lại nhiều câu chuyện về các cố vấn thân cận của ông Trump chỉ trích gay gắt sau lưng tổng thống, trong đó có Pompeo.

Sau khi ông Trump kết thúc điện đàm với Tổng thống Nam Hàn trước Hội nghị Thượng đỉnh Singapore với Bắc Hàn vào năm 2018, Pompeo và Bolton cùng chia sẻ thái độ xem thường việc Tổng thống giải quyết cuộc điện đàm. Bolton miêu tả cuộc điện đàm giống như “kinh nghiệm cận kề cái chết,” trong khi Pompeo chia sẻ, ông ta “đau tim ở Ả Rập Saudi.”

Trong suốt cuộc họp sau đó với Kim Jong Un, Pompeo đẩy qua cho Bolton ghi chú nói rằng, Tổng thống “toàn rác rưởi,” cuốn sách cho hay.
