3 chú voọc quư bị toán thợ săn chặt đầu, mổ bụng ngay giữa rừng cấm...
Ngày 2/8, bà Đỗ Thị Thanh Huyền, cán bộ quản lư Chương tŕnh Giáo dục Bảo tồn thuộc tổ chức Bảo vệ động vật hoang dă Wildlife At Risk (WAR), cho hay: WAR đánh giá và xác định 3 cá thể voọc bị giết ở Vườn Quốc gia Phú Quốc là voọc bạc. Đây là loại động vật hoang dă nguy cấp có nguồn gốc từ tỉnh Kiên Giang. Hiện mẫu vật của các cá thể voọc bạc này đang được lưu giữ.
Trước đó, hôm 30/7, trong khi đi tuần tra khu vực rừng thuộc Vườn Quốc gia Phú Quốc, cán bộ kiểm lâm của Vườn đă phát hiện một nhóm 4 người săn trộm và xẻ thịt 3 cá thể voọc. Hai kẻ săn trộm bị bắt tại chỗ, hai người c̣n lại trốn thoát. Hiện Chi cục Kiểm lâm Phú Quốc đang phối hợp với cơ quan chức năng điều tra sự việc cũng như truy lùng hai đối tượng c̣n lại.




Voọc bạc là loài động vật được liệt kê trong Sách Đỏ IUCN và được xác định là loài dễ bị tổn thương trong Sách Đỏ Việt Nam. Voọc bạc cũng thuộc nhóm động vật IB theo Nghị định 32/2006 NĐ-CP của Chính phủ về quản lư động vật hoang dă đang bị đe dọa. Theo nghị định này, các đối tượng săn bắn, giết voọc sẽ là tội phạm bị kết án hình sự.
Theo ông Nguyễn Vũ Khôi, Giám đốc WAR, sau khi voọc bạc được xác định là loài cần bảo tồn, Việt Nam đă quản lư khá tốt nên loài này có dấu hiệu phục hồi, tăng về số lượng tại Vườn Quốc gia Phú Quốc. Tuy nhiên, từ vụ việc trên cho thấy đàn voọc tại đây cần được bảo vệ nghiêm ngặt hơn nữa.

Bốn thợ săn cùng thực hiện việc này ngay tại rừng quốc gia Phú Quốc (Kiên Giang). Trong đó, 2 kẻ đă chạy thoát
Ngày 2-8, ông Nguyễn Vũ Khôi, Giám đốc tổ chức Bảo vệ động vật hoang dă Wildlife At Risk (WAR), cho hay vừa có một vụ săn bắt và giết hại 3 con voọc tại Vườn quốc gia Phú Quốc (Kiên Giang).

Theo thông báo mà ông Khôi nhận được từ cơ quan chức năng Phú Quốc, hôm 30-7, trong khi đi tuần tra khu vực rừng thuộc Vườn quốc gia Phú Quốc, cán bộ kiểm lâm của vườn đă phát hiện một nhóm 4 người săn trộm xẻ thịt 3 con voọc. Hai kẻ săn trộm bị bắt tại chỗ, 2 người c̣n lại trốn thoát. Chi cục Kiểm lâm Phú Quốc đang phối hợp với cơ quan chức năng điều tra sự việc cũng như truy lùng 2 tên c̣n lại.

Kẻ giết hại vọoc có thể bị xử lư h́nh sự

Sau khi kiểm tra phân tích, WAR xác định 3 con voọc bị giết chết thuộc loài voọc bạc - loại động vật hoang dă nguy cấp có nguồn gốc từ tỉnh Kiên Giang. Ba con voọc nói trên sẽ được bảo quản để làm tang vật phục vụ điều tra, xét xử vụ án. Sau đó, chúng sẽ được tiêu hủy hoặc chuyển giao cho Bảo tàng Thiên nhiên Việt Nam lưu trữ.
