Overseas Vietnamese in Luxembourg believe in prospects of bilateral relations

The Vietnamese community in Luxembourg has shown their belief in the prospect of the relations between the two countries, hoping that cooperation will be expanded from the economic and financial areas to cultural exchange.

The Vietnamese community in Luxembourg is expressing confidence in the potential for enhanced relations between the two countries. The community hopes that cooperation will extend beyond economic and financial aspects to encompass cultural exchange.

Doan Nhat Minh, president of the Aide au Vietnam charity association in Luxembourg, emphasized the positive development of the Vietnamese community. He noted improvements in well-being, with many individuals securing stable employment. Aide au Vietnam, established in 2000, focuses on supporting underprivileged children, those with disabilities, charitable centers, and victims of natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam. The organization's projects include vocational training for disabled individuals, communication courses for hearing-impaired children, and the provision of hearing aids.

Minh suggested that the Vietnamese government facilitate travel between the two countries by considering visa exemptions for citizens of Luxembourg visiting Vietnam for less than 30 days. This, he believes, would enhance Vietnam's competitiveness in the tourism industry.

Dr. Nguyen Duy Cu, working in cyber security and online fraud prevention in Luxembourg, expressed pride and happiness in witnessing the growing Vietnam-Luxembourg relationship. He participated in Prime Minister Xavier Bettel's visit to Vietnam in May, aiming to promote cooperation and investment. Cu sees significant potential for collaboration between the two countries, especially in logistics, high technology, education, and a high-tech labor force.

Cu hopes to contribute to connecting Vietnamese partners with Luxembourg, particularly in detecting and preventing cyberattacks and fraud on telecommunication networks. He serves as a bridge connecting the Vietnamese community in Luxembourg through the VietLux group, fostering information sharing and unity among Vietnamese expats.

Overall, there is optimism that Vietnam and Luxembourg will further expand comprehensive cooperation, offering development opportunities for people and businesses in both nations.
