Các tướng t́nh báo Bộ Quốc pḥng Mỹ v́ đă công khai các báo cáo về Iraq và Afghanistan đă bị Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump chỉ trích nặng nề . Đồng thời ông yêu cầu bảo mật các thông tin đối với một trong các cơ quan thiết yếu nhất nước Mỹ.


Những ngày đầu năm mới, Tổng thống Trump đă phải đau đầu với những vấn đề đáng lo ngại

Theo Russia Today, Tổng thống Donald Trump đă đề nghị tân Bộ trưởng Quốc pḥng Mỹ Patrick Shanahan ngừng ngay việc công bố các thông tin trong báo cáo mật đến với công chúng, mà người đứng đầu Nhà Trắng mô tả bằng hai từ "điên rồ" trong suốt cuộc họp Nội các vào sáng 2/1 (theo giờ Mỹ).

"Cái ǵ đây? Chúng ta tham chiến, và họ lập báo cáo rồi tung chúng ra bên ngoài. Giờ đây công chúng có nghĩa là kẻ thù. Kẻ thù đang nghiền ngẫm từng câu chữ mà lẽ ra chúng ta phải giữ bí mật tuyệt đối", ông Trump gay gắt, đồng thời cho rằng những báo cáo công khai này sớm muộn ǵ cũng sẽ bị lan truyền thông qua các bản dịch. "Chúng nên được bảo mật và giữ kín, trừ khi các nghị sĩ muốn bàn bạc", ông Trump kết luận.

Ông Trump buông lời b́nh luận không lâu sau khi cựu Bộ trưởng Quốc pḥng James Mattis gửi đơn từ chức vào tháng trước, kết thúc sớm nhiệm kỳ của ông này. Hành động của ông Mattis đến từ quyết định rút quân của Tổng thống Trump khỏi Syria, cũng như Afghanistan, mà trước đó ông Mattis đă tăng cường quân số tại hai nước này vào năm ngoái.

Sự bất b́nh của ông chủ Nhà Trắng đối với lực lượng t́nh báo quân đội được cho là đến từ Báo cáo đặc biệt của các tướng lĩnh t́nh báo về tái thiết Afghanistan, được gọi là SIGAR, cho thấy chính phủ Afghanistan gần như mất kiểm soát đất nước ḿnh từ khi t́nh báo Mỹ tiến hành hoàn thiện SIGAR và kết thúc vào năm 2015. Chính phủ Afghanistan chỉ kiểm soát hoặc "gây ảnh hưởng" lên 55,5% lănh thổ. Bên cạnh đó, kế hoạch triển khai binh sĩ vào cuộc xung đột 17 năm này không được chấp thuận.
